Earl H. Devanny III (Trace) has a long and illustrious background in building large-scale healthcare technology companies and brings the experience of applying technology to transform the healthcare industry. Most recently, Trace served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tract Manager, a provider of healthcare strategic sourcing and compliance application suites, from 2016 to 2021. Symplr, a leading data management platform company, bought Tract Manager in 2020.
Trace previously served as the President of Nuance’s Healthcare business (sold to Microsoft), a voice and language solutions provider for businesses and consumers, from 2014 to 2016. Earlier, Trace served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TriZetto Inc. (sold to Cognizant), a healthcare information technology provider, from 2010 to 2013. Before that, Trace served as the President of Cerner Corporation, a supplier of health information technology solutions, services, devices, and hardware, from 1999 to 2010.
Trace has served as a Director of Commerce Bancshares, Inc (NASDAQ: CBSH), the publicly traded bank holding company for Commerce Bank, since 2010, and currently serves as a Director of Next Health Technologies and McNeil Trusts, both private companies. Since February 2020, Trace has also served as a Director of Select Quote (NYSE: SLQT), a technology-enabled Insurance company, during which time Select Quote went public. He started his career at IBM and advanced quickly to hold multiple executive positions in its healthcare business.
Trace received his undergraduate degree from the University of the South (Sewanee). In addition to serving on our Advisory Board, Trace also serves as a Strategic Advisor to our Chairman & CEO, Anurag Jain.
